Le quartier d’Henriville fait, au final, figure d’exception par ses grandes maisons.<br /> <br /> Les combats de 1940, les bombardements de 1944 et la Libération détruisent de nouveau la capitale picarde. La question de sa reconstruction, abordée dès les lendemains de l’armistice de 1940, se pose donc avec une certaine acuité en 1945. Pilotée par Pierre Dufau, la reconstruction de la ville est un défi humain et matériel. Le chantier de la Tour Perret côtoie les baraquements des boulevards, les ISAI Faidherbe se dressent fièrement et ouvrent la voie à la nouvelle zone industrielle de Montières.
